It’s my first time EVER trying out self-tanning products and I’m seriously so excited to recommend some Vita Liberata products to you guys. It’s honestly the perfect timing right now as currently I’m in Canada after being away living in tropical paradise for a year and have lost my amazing Hawaiian tan since coming back!! Officially Casper the ghost status over here lol, perfect for Hallowen LOLOL.
So to give you a little brief on Vita Liberata if you haven’t heard of them yet, or seen them on the popular Sephora shelves, these babes offer certified organic self-tanning products for at-home with professional results. I feel like I’ve always shifted away with using self-tanning products because of the ingredients that would just scare me off, so I’m really happy to have come across Vita Liberata and write this review up for anyone looking to get a glow up esp with the Canadain Winter around the corner.
So I’ll be heading out to Thailand in 2 days, and wanted to smash out this blog post as I’ve been using these products during my time here in Canada to keep my tan alive and to get me ready for that Thai Sunshine!! I’m currently using the pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Mousse in Fair which is a SUPER fast drying tanning mousse and develops over 4-8 hours. Chicks, it’s SO easy to use this product. As a certified lazy girl myself, I’m usually the type that would say nah to things that take too much time. But this product is literally the easiest self-tanning out there. All you have to do, is rub on a pump of the tanning mouse on each area of your body like your applying lotion. It’s so fast drying you can wear your clothes a couple minutes after and it wouldn’t stain. The tan I’ve developed is pHenomenallyyyyy natural looking and light, I’m a big fan of the results. I can’t wait to rock this in Thailand as my pre-tan!!
Vita Liberata also has makeup products too, not just self-tanning products, which really surprised me with how well I actually enjoy using their makeup products in my daily routine. I don’t wear a ton of makeup and I’m quite picky with my choices too. Pretty much as minimal and light as possible is the way I go!
In terms of my face, after cleanser and moisturizer, I’ve been using the Beauty Blur in Latte + The Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi combined as my primer/foundation base. And lemme tell ya, this combo is a match made in heaven for that glowy bronzy sunlighty goddess look. The Beauty Blur is like a BB cream texture; lightweight & doesn’t make your skin feel greasy or oily after application. It provides a smooth all over the face coverage to even out the skin tone. If I’m going out in the sun, especially as I’ll be out in the Thai sunshine soon, I’ll be mixing the Beauty Blur + Drunk Elephant + the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better SPF 50 (formulated with zinc oxide!!)
The Trystal Mineral Self Tanning Bronzer in Sunkissed comes with a baby kabuki brush, makes it PURFECT to pack with me to Thailand. I’m loving the contour this bronzer gives me. It’s very buildable yet subtle at the same time giving you total control on how deep you want you’re contouring to be! I’m fairly pale at the mo, yet the bronzer is still providing that natural bronze contour, nothing too brassy or crazy and off my skin tone color, which I love about this product. I can totally see it being workable once I get my tan on in Thailand as well. I didn’t get a chance to try out the Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion or the Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish in Latte Light due to crunch time, but I have nothing but soaring expectations for these two beauties basing it off from my experience with the rest of the Vita Liberata products I’ve tried so far. Overall, I’m super impressed with this brand and definitely looking forward to more products coming out in the near future with these gals. I’m all for organic brands providing natural healthy glows for us on the inside and out!!
