What is Kewaza? –
Not just a extremely cool name for a company but a nutritious snack brand bringing non-toxic goodies to the world!! These are healthy snacks that are guilt-free, makes your taste buds jump up and down with joy, and fueling your body with natural energy. Kewaza uses organic ingredients such as dates, dark chocolate, raw almonds, etc, depending on which flavour. On top of that, they are also Gluten Free, Non GMO, Made in Canada, and portion of their sales goes towards empowering women 🙂
Pure Yoga recently opened their new downtown studio in Ottawa and so they promoted by giving a week of free hot yoga to everyone. Obviously I had to take advantage of this so I went for about 5 days straight with a couple back to back classes. For each of the five days, I ate a package from my Kewaza box which included each of their flavours: Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate Coconut, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Red Banana Bread, Cookie Dough. I either had my Kewaza snack about an hour before my yoga class or after which helped me A LOT in giving me that push of energy I need when I’m feeling extremely groggy, tired, or lazy. Each ball contains 60-80 calories, 1 gram of protein, and 13 grams of sugar. Don’t be afraid of the high sugar content. Keep in mind these are natural sugars that your body can break down easily!
See right now I’m in a situation where I could really use a pack of these Kewawa snacks. As I’m sitting in Starbucks for about 2 hours doing blog stuff and obviously I forgot to bring food cause I’m always in a rush, and I’m too cheap to buy food from a restaurant (students you feel me), and I’m starving here wanting to get work done. These Kewaza bites are life savers if you just pop one in your bag when your out!
All of these tasted amazing, my personal favourite were the chocolate ones that literally tasted like I was eating truffles. So instead of binge eating 22 two bite brownies (yes that had unfortunately recently happened lol), switch over to these healthy chocolates for pre workout, post workout, or just a in-between snack during your day.
