Here I created a winter make up look and can be worn for your festivities during the holiday season. Can’t go wrong with a brown smokey eye and red lips! Below are the steps I toke in creating this look 🙂
Step 1: Moisturize
I first moisturize my skin with my winter cream which is the Mahalo Balm from Auroua Beauty. It is extremely important to not skip this step during this dry winter weather! This balm works wonders on my skin as it helps to provide deep moisturization for a all day wear to protect my skin.
Step 2: Eye Creme
Next I move ahead to my eye creme to help nourish and brighten my under eye circles. Using my Honey Belle under Eye Creme, I apply the creme using my ring finger or pinky which I then pat gently working from the inner corners to the outer corners.
Step 3: BB Cream
After applying all my skincare products, I then start my make up with BB Cream. I’m a big fan of using BB Cream because it is light weight on my skin and doesn’t cause any sort of skin irritations. Currently I am using a combination of two BB creams which is my Lily Lolo BB Cream in fair and my Dusty Girls Earth Tint BB Cream in light. These two products works extremely well together with my skin tone. The application gives me enough coverage and I love how it looks and feels very natural on.
Step 4: Powder
I then set my BB Cream with Lily Lolo’s Finishing Silk Powder to make sure my makeup stays in place all day. This light weight powder helps to set my BB Cream and to give a flawless dewy finish from the soft shimmers in the product.
Step 5: Eye Shadow
Next I move on to my eyes where I apply the shade “Buck” from the Naked Palette all over my eye lids which I then use “Cacao” from Dusty Girls on my crease. Finishing up the eye shadow, I use “Half Baked” from the Naked Palette in the inner corners of my eyes as well as in the center of my eye lids to create dimension.
Step 6: Eyeliner and Mascara
Using a felt tip eyeliner, I line my eyes and draw on a cat eye look. I personally find felt tip eye liners are the easiest and quickest to use!
Next I used my MoodStruck 3D Fiber Mascara which is a three step process to lengthen and volumize my lashes. Usually I use water proof mascara because I find that the thing I always have problems with for mascaras is that the holding power just isn’t there for some products. But I’m so impressed with this 3D mascara. It does everything every mascara should be doing!! The first application is like a regular mascara to lengthen your lashes. Then you apply the fibers while your lashes are still wet from the first application to volumize and to add more length to your lashes. And finally, you go back in with the step 1 mascara to seal in the fibbers. This 3 step mascara creates such beautiful lashes, I’m in love with this product!!
Step 7: Brows
My first step for my brow make up is to prime my eye brows with the Anastasia Brow Primer to keep my hairs in place before applying my brow colour. Next I used the Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown to outline, define, and fill in my brows. I was given a sample of this colour from Sephora to test out which I absolutely love so I went and purchased the full version of it! Finally I use the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Brown to fill in the front of my brows. Since this product comes off very light weight and natural looking, it works really well when your filling in the front of your brows as this part should be lighter then the ends.
Step 8: Contour & Highlight
To contour my face, I am using Dusty Girls Bronzer in Sunshine which is extremely pigmented so be sure to use a fluffier brush when applying to ensure no harsh lines and better blending! This Bronzer colour is beautiful for the Winter and it works really well with the Cheek Tint from Josie Maran which I use on the apples of my cheeks to give me a dewy natural finish.
You can’t forget highlighting! Using my Benefits Watt’s Up highlighter, I apply the product on my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and just under the arch of my eye brows. To top off the highlighter I use Josie Maran’s Illuminizing Powder.
Step 9: Lips
To finish off my look, I first prep my lips with the Henne Organics Lip Balm to help moisturize before applying lip colour. Finally, I go in with my Axiology Creme Lip Stick in shade “Elusive” which is such a beautiful colour for the Winter. It is a rich shade of red that can be worn as a tint or built up to a darker shade to give a bold look.
